Finally, the long awaited photo of my townhouse. I am busy with projects on the inside of the house but nothing new is really happening outside. I thought it would motivate me to complete my projects if I completed my first house post. I moved from Georgia to North Carolina in May of this year. I made a big grown up decision to purchase a home. (All by myself). It was a big step and my normal obsessive planning kicked into high gear when I started my house hunting trips. My first trip was a bust but I did get to see quite a few places and add to my list of "no's". After my first trip I decided I needed to switch real estate agents. While my first agent was really nice we just weren't on the same page. Our definitions of move in ready were not even close to each other. I called my relocation company and requested a new agent and I was introduced to Jane. She was amazing and very patient with this first time home buyer. She answered all of my questions and took so much time to help me find the right place. We work together through emails for about a month before I was able to make a trip to NC to look at places. My brother went on the first house hunting trip with Jane. We had a great day looking at lots of places. I went home that night feeling great about the trip and had two townhouses on my short list that I really liked. Jane made time for the rest of my family and I to come back the next day to take a second look at the places I liked. She also had picked out some new places for us to see. I didn't find "my" place until the second day. Jane had sought out townhouses for sale in a particular neighborhood and I am so lucky she did. I loved the place at first sight and it just had something the other places (even my the two places on my short list) didn't have. It felt more like a home. I am so happy with my final decision and I look forward to making this place my own.
